To be honest, I'll say they fulfill at least half the objectives by slaughtering a significant portion of the Martial Hall's troop (including the lower level titled Douluo elders and subordinate clans) while also burning the Jialing Pass fort city to the ground so the war wasn't a monumental waste even if they do choose to retreat
